Our land is divided into two plots, one is the Hotel/Depot and the other is basically where the little house is up to the road. This building would go further up the slope near the road. To state the obvious the window side would face south ish, probably SSE. This would provide minimal exposure to the winter north west wind.
Getting the angles right is critical, with the correct design and location our energy costs would be minimal
